Powdered alcohol is a new product that was approved for sale in the U.S. in March of 2015. A packet of powdered alcohol is designed to be mixed with six ounces of water to make a single serving of an alcoholic drink.
This new product has sparked a debate and some states have already acted to ban the sales of powdered alcohol. Those in favor of powdered alcohol say it is convenient and space-saving and that it is safe because it will be regulated just like liquid alcohol. But others are concerned about the potential that powdered alcohol may be misused – especially by children and youth.
We asked adults across the U.S. what they think about powdered alcohol and whether or not they think it should be banned in their state. The results of this National Poll on Children’s Health will be released next week. To get the report sent straight to your inbox, sign up for our email list.
