Of all drivers on the road, teen drivers are at the highest risk for vehicle crashes and fatalities. Many teens are also prone to distracted driving. To help keep teen drivers safe, many states have laws that restrict teen drivers’ cell phone use, number of teen passengers, and nighttime driving. Parents might also set rules and limitations on their teen drivers.
What kinds of limits do parents set on their teen drivers – and what kinds of limits do teens themselves say they have? The National Poll on Children’s Health asked both parents and teens about teen driving restrictions. The results of this new National Poll on Children’s Health will be released next week.
